Miss Celebrity wins for stable
Filed: Monday 4th January 2010

Miss Celebrity notched her first win for the stable last Thursday at Nowra.

The mare had been troublesome to date in her two starts prior for the stable in which she raced eritically and performed much below her best.

The blinkers were removed for Thursday's assignment and the addition of the cross over nose band was applied. This gear change proved very valuable when she settled last to the turn and sprinted clear down the straight to win convincingly.

She has always shown promise on wet tracks and the Slow 7 at Nowra was ideal for her.

The stable are very pleased to win with their newest addition and hope to see many more wins from her.

Congratulations to Roger and Lorraine Ford and Col Hughes.

The stables runners for this week will on Friday where three will start at kensington and Nowra.

It will be his first appearance in town since July and has earned the trip back with two wins and a second from his last three starts.

Miss Celebrity was keen to run along at her first start for the stable at orange and only knocked up the last bit. She has been entered for a Class 1 1200m race at Nowra and looks to be a good chance with the run under her belt.

Diamondinthesky will also head to Nowra and will be aiming to break her maiden status. The filly hit the line well at Orange after having to get well back from the carpark alley. The filly has been plagued with bad barriers and the stable are hoping for anything inside 7 to aid her chances on Friday.
