There aren’t a lot of racing options outside of maiden company in the current program for a fast, sprinting two year old and this the reason why Lee has decided to give his speedy filly Superbellaa a crack at Stakes company today Rosehill. She is engaged in Race 3, The Woodlands Stakes over 1100m. The race would usually be a feature in the Scone Carnival.
The filly won her only start at Canberra in excellent fashion back in January and was sent straight out for a spell. She has trialled brilliantly at Rosehill and her work as always has been super.
So why not have a crack? She will be against her own age and sex on her home track. It’s an exciting day for her connections albeit they unfortunately can’t be in attendance.
Superbellaa is by the very fast son of I Am Invincible, Super One. She’s from the Group 1 winning mare Imananabaa. If Superbellaa can pick up some blacktype today it will improve her family greatly.
The stable also have Giselle Anne engaged in Race 1 at Kembla. The daughter of Snitzel is a model of consistency but is yet to break her maiden status. Today’s race over 1000m from barrier 1 looks ideal.
Good luck to all involved.
